In all honesty, we want to do business in an upfront and honest way. If you feel you deserve it, we will most likely honor it.

I'll leave the attached picture as a PSA to others: if the adapter doesn't rotate all the way so that it perfectly aligns, just mount it to something and twist it harder into position (it's very hard to do with only your bare hands since there's not much to grip).
Hi Colton, Siri here from Mechanism. This adapter is made to fit VERY snuggly, which can make it hard to rotate it over into position. It WILL sit correctly, it's just hard to get it over the hump.
It's a bit difficult to get enough torque to turn it into place, so a quick tip to fix this is to use one of our other mounts that you might have (kickstand, adhesive mount, etc), clip it into place, and then use that to get enough grip to turn it over.
For reference, check the images on the listing page, it should sit perfectly vertical. Happy to make a video for you as well if that wasn't a clear explanation.

Worked perfectly out of the box (bag). It's really nice to use the pillow with my killswitch case on. The adapter also makes it really easy to remove the deck with just a 90 degree turn. Highly recommend this company.

I can’t speak to how it’ll hold up - feels like simple plastic. But it feels super secure clicking into the Killswitch. And so far, it’s holding on my pegboard perfectly.
Mechanism actually has good attachments unlike Dbrand - so this is the way to go if you want to use kickstands, mounts, etc. Way to go Mechanism for offering this niche but needed solution!
I don't know what else I can say. It just works. No frills. No fluff. Just Flawless compatibility.

Every time I saw the pillow and connected to a Steam Decl on Instagram, I would always jokingly send it to my wife. Turns out, this makes gaming in the couch so much more comfortable. Playing Binding of Isaac for hours would cram up my hands so I’d have to take a break every 20 minutes. For my birthday, she bought me the pillow but forgot the adapter. Once I had this all installed the cramps is something of the past - Mechanism has made these sessions so much more enjoyable! 5 out of 5!
Clips in and out of the Killswitch case. Like that it's not a permanent solution like attaching a sticky back to the back of my steam deck and always having it on. Works great for displaying as well.

This thing is spot on. I didn't think I would use the kickstand that came with the Killswitch case. I was wrong. I attached a small square usb c hub to it and used it all the time. Unfortunately, I don't need the hub that often, but wanted to still have a kickstand. Mechanism's adapter and kickstand combo was the perfect fit. It pretty much stays attached all the time now. The only time I'll remove it is if I need the hub, but that's rare. All in, it was a touch pricey for just the two pieces and shipping, but totally worth it in the end. Absolutely no regrets. It's solid. More versatile than the stock Killswitch kickstand with exceptional adjustability for lots of different angles. The adapter is flawless and tight. Very pleased. Keep up the good work!

This accessory opened up the opportunity to use the available accessories Mechanism offers. The kickstand goes well with it and, in my opinion, works better than the Killswitch stand. I'm looking forward to trying out the other accessories with it like the pillow or phone holder!

exactly what i needed to make my killswitch steam deck work with everything from Mechanism
since I'm always carrying my OLEDeck on the go, I needed some extra protection. I splurged and got the Killswitch Case, and I've been happy as can be. However, the MAJOR drawback was that none of my Mechanism (DeckMate) attachments worked anymore! I don't have a 3D printer so I couldnt engineer anything very easily. Finally the good folks at Mechanism had pity on us fools that mix and match brands and made the Killswitch adapter! I preordered and once they released it came quickly. It fits SNUG in the killswitch case, like VERY snug, but with a little use it gets a little easier- but it doesnt need to be removed once installed- NOW I can marry my Killswitch to all of my Mechanism mounts and accessories! The adapter is sturdy and clips reliably into both sides. Another quality product from mechanism- I'm a happy customer!
TL;DR:
Fits great, strong, well worth the price to bridge the gap between brands.
Although I could have 3d printed this with their first party files I am really glad I bought one instead. The quality is above anything I could print as an amateur.
This has made my steam deck my main travel device
