This is a match made in heaven with the Gaming Pillow from Mechanism! I have been wanting a Switch 2 case that is fully integrated with Mechanism accessories!
I have been using a dbrand KillSwitch case, along with OhSnap grip adhesive attachment and the Mechanism MagSafe puck to attach to my Gaming Pillow whenever I would play games on my Switch 2 on the bed. Overtime, the adhesive of the grip mount will lose its adhesion on the case and fall off.
This new Basecase for Switch 2 solves all of that! And the case itself is made of a very durable material, protecting Switch 2 just as well as the dbrand case did, while still allowing the Joy-Con 2 controllers to be detached just like it as well (both of which were pretty important to me). And all of that for a cheaper price tag than the dbrand case!
And the ability to customize and change the hand-grips on either side as well as the mount back plate is a huge plus! I am excited to try out the new hand-grips and back plates as they come out!
Great not only for charging my controller but also for displaying it. The weighted base is great.
Dock looks great and works great too, I was really wanting a dock that the chord came out of the bottom and you guys delivered. It’s a little bit pricey in my opinion but it works perfect for the style I’m going for.
just perfect no other words to describe it. does exactly what it states but it does it so elegantly, makes it almost artwork on my TV media center next to my Steam Machine.
Solid construction/design. The Steam Controller fits perfectly and maintains position. Looks great sitting next to my Steam Machine.
I've purchased a few of these to use with my devices along with things like the universal grip. They're great and super convenient. Universal grip working with the gaming pillow is a big plus too, though admittedly, I don't use my pillow too often with the way I game these days
Had a misaligned dock but the team sent out a replacement ASAP.
Would purchase again due to the customer service experience alone.
I f***ing love this thing. I've had it for a couple of years now, and while the pillow is deflated a bit, I can't tell you how much we enjoy it. I even brought it with me on my honeymoon, seriously! I've attached a photo of my husband enjoying it in Cancun, MX.
super nice and sturdy, I got it for my Legion Go 2, I place my phone on it to see guides or walkthroughs while I play, when I put the phone it actually offset a little bit but the mount seems straight, no bends or anything, so, it could be, I have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, is a bit heavy and all my covers have "off-center" magnets so, it could be the issue, other than that, the mount is great.
Really glad to have this! The modcase is great, but the accessories leave a lot to be desired. This solves that problem for new. Now I can attach whatever I want to my steam deck (battery or external ssd).
Slapped one of these on my legion go so I can attach a battery or an external ssd. Adhesive is really strong.
These are great. They use really strong adhesive. Giving 4 stars because 1. They are a bit bulky, I'm not sure anything can really be done about that. 2. I have one of these attached to a Baseus 20,000mah power bank which might be on the edge for weight on this mount. I've had the battery pop off of my steam deck a couple times when setting it down. (Still way better than the rubber strap that came with my jsaux modcase)
Overall great, I'm glad these exist!
Works flawlessly and keeps my controller propped up beautifully, almost like an art piece
Works exactly as youd expect, great design and a great way to have the controller not only be fully charged at the ready but also displayed as a show piece
Honestly, this thing is awesome. I like that the stand is weighted and feels hefty. Because the last thing I want to do is fight a stand that wants to come with the controller whenever I want to pick it up. I own quite a few Mechanism Products, and this one was a no brainer when it was announced.
While waiting for my Steam controller to arrive, I watched several YouTube videos demonstrating its innovations. In one of those videos, the creator was using a Steam Controller Dock. I saw it integrated the charging puck and offered easy docking for charging. As it turns out, The Dock is every bit as innovative as the controller itself. It is the perfect marriage of 2 products, and I can't imagine living without either of them. I was so impressed with the dock, I ordered Mechanism's Steam Deck Grip and stand.
I love mechanism grips, but one of the vent notches on this one broke of after a few months. Never happened to another one, probably because they seem top have bigger/thicker vent notches. It kinda still works, but not enough to mount it anywhere, just with the kickstand.
Sorry your vent clip broke! We do offer a lifetime warranty on all our parts, so shoot us over an email or chat in, and I'm happy to get you up and running again.
I saw this Steam Controller dock via a Youtube video and I loved the idea. I didn't mind having my Steam Controller flat on my desk but the loose puck on my desk would be shifted around when the controller was not attached. For me, I didn't like that. This stand fixed that issue as the puck is directly connected to the stand and it is the perfect base for docking my Steam Controller when I am done using it and it makes my gaming set up a lot cleaner. I would highly recommend this product if you want a dock for your Steam Controller. It sits next to my SteamDeck which is also docked and it makes the whole table look wonderful.
Awesome! It looks like it should’ve came with the Steam Controller.
I have bought a dock from Etsy, and while I appreciate the design and color options, they are 3-D printed and simply not heavy enough. The dock would simply fall over. No problems with the Mechanism. The dock will not move freely, which is what a dock should do. Perhaps as these docks become more popular Mechanism could consider different color options, not the biggest deal as Valve will probably never offer anything other than black themselves for the controller. Excellent product; worth your money if you want a sturdy well-built dock.
