Feels and functions like a premium product. It displays th3 controller nicely. I bought one for myself as well as one for my friend!
I have syringomyelia, which makes my hands hurt and sometimes get really weak. The Nintendo Switch 2 was just too heavy and large to play handheld comfortably for me, and this pillow changed everything! Now I can lie in bed and use my pro controller while this is mounted on the pillow! It's great!
Also ordering one for my mom so she can use it with her tablet.
Absolutely perfect, anyone who is complaining about not being able to pick it up with one hand is just doing it wrong. I’m not sure how they could even do that. The controller comes off very easily without the stand moving at all.
Feels incredibly sturdy and looks great on my desk.
By far the best stand for charging and displaying your steam controller. Excellent build quality with clean wire management, and a perfectly weighted base, with no need to support stand when removing from magnetic dock. Already recommended to a few friends. GREAT JOB GUYS!!
Really nice dock for the steam controller. it looks great and has a nice weight to it that makes removing the controller a breeze
Looks amazing and fits perfectly, way better that leaving it on the desk.
I'd been looking for a dock for the SC2, and all that was out there were some meh 3D-printed ones. Then I found Mechanism's dock, and it fit the bill!
After eagerly waiting for its launch for nearly two months, it didn't disappoint! The weight makes removing the controller from the puck a simple one-handed motion, and the build quality and design are something I'm proud to have on display in the living room.
I'm pumped on it! If you're lucky enough to have an SC2, this is the only dock that matches it, so get it!
I can display and charge my Steam Controller nicely on the corner of my desk. The stand is weighted enough I can lift and mount the controller with one hand. Is it needed? No. However, the ease of handling and displaying an item I use so frequently now is well worth the purchase.
This is what you want for your couch session. The arm is sturdy. It is small enough to not get in is own way and the pillow bottom can conform to the position you need.
So, this is my first purchase from Mechanism, and, firstly, it's been a pleasant one. The Steam Controller Dock had been on my radar since before it actually launched, and I'm really glad I bought it; it's nice to be able to grab it one-handed, I always know where it is (big plus for someone like me who's not great with organization), and it looks really nice on my desk, so, win-win-win! Highly recommended.
The clip fits snugly on my portal and helps holding the portal for a long time up right. The material of the clip is well made.
This was free with my 2nd order from Mechanism. I left it out and reached out to them and they fixed my order for me. Great company to deal work. Super friendly customer service! I'm a mental health therapist so I put this grip at the yop of my laptop and i pair their phone mount with this geip and pave my phone above my laptop camera and it really helps me out while I'm working from home and doing telegealth!
It's a phone mount, the magsafe stuff works, the handle is pretty strong and sturdy enough for a phone, it can even be taken apart and put back together, which is really nice
I suffer from the dreaded "Numb arms" when I play on my portable devices for any amount of time. This Pillow from Mechanism is so nice! I still get the numbness, but it takes hours now for it to happen in lnstead of minutes. Plus it helps the console at a great level when I am sitting on the couch. I even tried putting on the bed next to me and lay on my side...it works like that too, NO PROBLEM!
Gaming on the Steamdeck never felt better. I'm now able to game for hours without numb hands.
There are minor imperfections on the top plastic piece (as shown in the picture), but you won't ever notice them, especially when your controller is docked.
I like the rubber strip that goes around the bottom to prevent it from sliding around. I agree it would be great if it didn't move an inch when you pulled it straight from the pug. For this to be feasible, it would need to be significantly heavier because of its design and the strength of the magnets. Not many people are willing to pay for that, so I understand the compromise.
I thought of 3D printing my own, but I do have a 3D printer, and even if I did, it would not look as good as this one. If Mechanism modifies the design to a 5 pound chunck of black steel as their base, or find a way for it to move less when I grab it with ough thinking of tilting it, I will buy another one for my second controller.
This is my first purchase from this company, and I look forward to seeing what other Steam hardware related producst they come up with.
