It works perfectly with the Steam Controller Dock

Clip the Basegrip on and the controller still sits in the dock the way it should: same charge, same one-handed pickup, same cable hidden in the base. Nothing to peel off at night, nothing to remember in the morning.

    Steam Deck

This is an XBOX Steam Deck

It reads like a first-party charging stand, and owners keep saying so out loud. The dock holds the charging puck at the angle the controller wants, keeps the cable inside the base, and lets you lift the controller off one-handed while the base stays put.

    Skadis, who dis?

    Skadis, who dis?

The Skadis Mount drops twistable metal pegs into any IKEA pegboard, so the wall does the storage. Fit it once and anything wearing a Mechanism grip hangs up and comes down in one motion, whether that is the controller or the Deck.

The Desk Stand and the Dock, side by side

The Desk Stand and the Dock, side by side

The Desk Stand holds the screen. The Dock holds the controller. Both take the same clip, so the controller you set down after a session is the one that goes back on charge, and the stand never has to make room for it.

Feels of premium quality and really sturdy. The arm has a lot of range and holds still once locked even with weight at the top.Tristan Moulene · verified buyer

Ultra minimal. It adds no weight.

Ultra minimal. It adds no weight.

The Basegrip is a slim plate on the back of the controller. Nothing sits under your fingers, nothing swells the grips, no case to carry. You hold the controller exactly as Valve shipped it, and every mount clicks into it.

Excellent quality as always. Feels like something the steam controller should ship with or even something valve would make themselves.

★★★★★ Javonta T., verified buyer, Steam Controller Dock

This is probably the best controller dock/stand I've ever had. Great design. Great quality. Displays the controller nicely and has a small footprint on the desk.

★★★★★ Grant Hunter, verified buyer, Steam Controller Dock

Superbly made, sits beautifully next to the box and as they say, is a simple one hand detach and reconnect action. I love it!

Asked and answered

What do I buy first?
The Basegrip for Steam Controller. It is $9, it is the only part that touches the controller, and every mount in the ecosystem clicks into it.
Does the grip come off to charge?
No. The controller still sits in the Steam Controller Dock with the Basegrip on, so charging does not mean pulling the grip off.
Does this fit my Steam Deck?
The Steam Deck takes a different part, the Basegrip for Steam Deck at $19. Same system, same mounts, so anything on this page that clips to the Steam Controller also clips to the Deck grip.
How much does the whole thing cost?
The Basegrip is $9 and the Steam Controller Dock is $39. The Skadis Mount is $15 and the Desk Stand is $39. Build three items and checkout takes 15% off, five items takes 25%.
